You don't have a time problem.

You have a focus problem – and it's rarely your fault.

The calendar is full, the to-do list longer than this morning. The obvious answer: more time. The honest one: less of what doesn't belong to you.

Operational overload eats leadership

If you're constantly stuck in day-to-day operations, you only react. Planning, growth and leadership need exactly what gets lost there: undisturbed time to think.

More discipline rarely helps here. What helps: not letting tasks that don't need to be yours land on your desk in the first place.

A first step

For one week, write down everything you do – honestly, including the small things. Then mark everything someone else could do just as well. It's usually more than you think.
